pure or perverted

In every generation, the gospel is not usually rejected outright — it is changed just enough to sound acceptable. A little effort added. A small requirement attached. A subtle condition mixed in.

And that is exactly how the gospel becomes perverted.

The danger is not denying Christ openly, but altering the message of how salvation is received. Scripture warns us that when grace is mixed with anything else, the message is no longer good news — no matter how sincere it sounds.

This is not about denominations or personalities.
This is about truth versus corruption.
About clarity versus confusion.
About whether the gospel remains pure, or becomes perverted.

๐Ÿงช WHY MIXING GRACE AND WORKS CHANGES EVERYTHING

Paul’s warning in Galatians is one of the strongest in all of Scripture:

๐Ÿ“– “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”
— Galatians 1:6–7 (KJV)

Notice carefully:
Paul does not say they rejected Christ.
He says the gospel was perverted — twisted, altered, diluted.

The problem was not Christ’s death.
The problem was adding something alongside it.

Grace mixed with works may look harmless — but spiritually, it changes the entire message.

⚖️ WHAT MAKES A GOSPEL “PERVERTED”?

A gospel becomes perverted when:

• Grace is no longer sufficient by itself
• Faith is combined with performance
• Christ’s finished work is treated as incomplete

Paul explains the principle clearly:

๐Ÿ“– “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.”
— Romans 11:6 (KJV)

Grace and works cannot share the same foundation.
The moment works are added as a requirement for salvation, grace ceases to be grace.

That is not harsh — that is biblical logic.

✝️ THE GOSPEL OF GRACE STANDS ON A FINISHED WORK

In contrast, Scripture gives us a clear, complete, unaltered gospel — one that does not depend on human effort.

๐Ÿ“– “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel…
How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried,
And that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)

Notice what is emphasized:
• What Christ did
• Not what we do
• Not what we maintain
• Not what we prove

Salvation rests entirely on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

When Christ said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), nothing was left incomplete.

๐Ÿ” WHY ADDING WORKS UNDERMINES ASSURANCE

When works are added to salvation, assurance is lost.

If salvation depends partly on:
• Obedience
• Endurance
• Performance
• Personal righteousness

Then salvation becomes uncertain, fragile, and fear-based.

But Scripture teaches otherwise:

๐Ÿ“– “In whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”
— Ephesians 1:13 (KJV)

A sealed salvation is not probationary.
A finished work does not need supplementation.

The gospel of grace produces peace, not pressure.
Confidence, not constant doubt.

๐Ÿšจ WHY THIS WARNING IS LOVING — NOT DIVISIVE

Calling out a perverted gospel is not unloving — it is necessary.

Paul says plainly:

๐Ÿ“– “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you… let him be accursed.”
— Galatians 1:8 (KJV)

Why such strong language?
Because eternity is at stake.

A gospel that depends on human effort can never save, because fallen man cannot complete what Christ already finished.

✨ THE GOSPEL INVITATION — FOR THE LOST

Friend, if you are reading this and unsure of your salvation, here is the good news — clear and simple:

๐Ÿ“– Christ died for your sins.
๐Ÿ“– He was buried.
๐Ÿ“– He rose again.

This is the gospel that saves.

Salvation is not earned.
It is not maintained by effort.
It is received the moment you believe in what Jesus Christ has already done for you.

๐Ÿ“– “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
— Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)

When you believe, God saves you — fully, freely, and forever.

๐Ÿ”š FINAL THOUGHT
Grace does not need improvement.
The gospel does not need adjustment.
Christ does not need help.

๐Ÿ›‘ Grace mixed with works is no longer grace.

salvation

THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH EFFECTUALLY WORKETH ALSO IN YOU THAT BELIEVE

Our new life IN Christ flows "from" salvation, not "for" salvation.

Then, in time our worthy walk comes from God’s Spirit working in us as we understand His written word rightly divided.

Salvation by grace through faith, first.

Then, as we study and believe Paul's grace doctrine, those truths work in us, and out through us, effectually in our walk as we yield our members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Apostle Paul Writes To The
Church The Body of Christ:

Romans 1:16 (KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

1 Corinthians 15:22 (KJV) For as IN Adam all die, even so IN Christ shall all be made alive.

Romans 8:2 (KJV) For the law of the Spirit of life IN Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:17 (KJV) But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

1 Corinthians 15:1 (KJV) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Ephesians 1:13 (KJV) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

2 Timothy 1:1 (KJV) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is IN Christ Jesus,

1 Timothy 4:8 (KJV) ...having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1 Corinthians 3:9 (KJV) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Timothy 2:7 (KJV) Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

2 Corinthians 6:1 (KJV) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 Corinthians 1:12 (KJV) For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

13 For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;

14 As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 2:10 (KJV) Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

1 Thessalonians 2:12 (KJV) That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1 Timothy 4:13 (KJV) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

1 Timothy 4:15 (KJV) Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

THE RAPTURE — CHRIST COMES FOR HIS CHURCH

Many believers confuse the Rapture and the Second Coming, assuming they are the same event. Scripture shows they are not the same, yet this does not mean Christ comes twice in contradiction. Rather, the Bible reveals two distinct phases of Christ’s return — one for His Church, and one with His Church.

Let’s let the Word speak. ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿš€ THE RAPTURE — CHRIST COMES FOR HIS CHURCH

๐Ÿ“– 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…”

๐Ÿ”น Christ meets believers in the air, not on the earth
๐Ÿ”น Only believers are involved
๐Ÿ”น It is a moment of comfort and joy, not judgment
๐Ÿ”น No signs are given — it is imminent

๐Ÿ“– John 14:2–3 (KJV)

“I go to prepare a place for you… I will come again, and receive you unto myself…”

This is a receiving, not a reigning.
A gathering, not a global judgment.

๐Ÿ‘‘ THE SECOND COMING — CHRIST RETURNS WITH HIS CHURCH

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 19:11–14 (KJV)

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse… and the armies which were in heaven followed him…”

๐Ÿ“– Zechariah 14:4 (KJV)

“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives…”

๐Ÿ”น Christ touches down on the earth
๐Ÿ”น Every eye sees Him (Revelation 1:7)
๐Ÿ”น He judges the nations
๐Ÿ”น Satan is bound (Revelation 20:1–3)
๐Ÿ”น His Millennial Kingdom begins

This happens after the Tribulation — not before it.

⚠️ IMPORTANT CLARITY

This is not “two Second Comings.”

It is:
✔️ One return of Christ
✔️ Unfolded in two stages
✔️ Separated by prophetic events

Just as His first coming had stages (birth, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension), His return also unfolds according to God’s order.

๐Ÿ“– Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

❤️ A WORD TO THE LOST — THE GOSPEL STILL STANDS

Before prophecy unfolds, salvation is offered.

๐Ÿ“– 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…”

The gospel is not fear — it is good news.
Not religion — but redemption.
Not works — but what Christ has already done.

๐Ÿ“– Romans 10:13 (KJV)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

⏳ WHY THIS MATTERS

The Rapture reminds believers to watch and live ready.
The Second Coming reminds the world that Jesus is King.

๐Ÿ“– Titus 2:13 (KJV)

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

THE SECURITY OF THE SEAL

THE SECURITY OF THE SEAL

Beloved, one of the greatest blessings God has given the Church today is assurance.

Not uncertainty.
Not fear.
Not “I hope I make it.”

But security.

Paul writes plainly:

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”
 — Ephesians 1:13

The moment you believed the gospel of Christ’s finished work (1 Cor. 15:3–4), God sealed you.

Not later.
Not gradually.
Not conditionally.

Instant. Permanent. Divine.

▪️A Grace Context — Not Law

This is not Israel under covenant.
This is not blessing by obedience (Deut. 28).

This is the dispensation of grace.

• We are not under law
• We are not enduring to enter a kingdom
• We are in Christ, already blessed with all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3)

Grace gives, law demands.
Grace secures, law tests.

▪️What Does It Mean to Be “Sealed”?

In Paul’s world, a seal meant three things:

• Security — protected from tampering
• Ownership — it belongs to the sender
• Authority — only God can break it

▪️And what is the seal?

๐Ÿ‘‰ The Holy Spirit Himself.
Not a feeling.
Not a ceremony.
A living Person indwelling you.

▪️When Did It Happen?

Paul gives the order clearly:

• You heard the word of truth
• You believed the gospel
• You were sealed

No baptism required.
No altar call needed.
No tongues involved.

Just faith in Christ.

▪️How Long Does the Seal Last?

“Whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
 — Ephesians 4:30

Not until your next failure.
Not until you mess up.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Until the redemption of your body (Rom. 8:23).

That means:
• Secure until the Rapture
• Secure despite your weakness
• Secure because God is faithful

▪️Can You Break the Seal?

No.

“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” — Romans 11:29
“If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” — 2 Timothy 2:13

If salvation depended on you, it wouldn’t last a day.
But it depends on God.

To deny eternal security is to question His promise.

▪️But Doesn’t Sin Grieve the Spirit?

Yes — grieving is not unsealing.

Sin affects your walk, not your standing.
Your fellowship, not your sonship.

A loving Father corrects —
He does not disown.

▪️Your Secure Identity in Christ

Because you are sealed, you are:

• Accepted in the Beloved (Eph. 1:6)
• Seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6)
• Complete in Christ (Col. 2:10)

No believer today is half-saved.
No forgiveness is temporary.

The seal proves salvation is eternal.

▪️Assurance Produces Service

Grace is not a license to sin.
Grace is the power to live free from fear.

“The grace of God that bringeth salvation… teaches us…” — Titus 2:11–12

We don’t serve to stay saved.
We serve because we are.

▪️Rejoice in the Security of the Seal

• God sealed you — and He never fails
• You didn’t earn it — and you can’t lose it
• What grace began, grace will finish (Phil. 1:6)

Don’t doubt God’s Word.
Don’t live in fear.

Rest. Rejoice. Serve boldly.

Saved. Sealed. Secure.
