THE SECURITY OF THE SEAL

Beloved, one of the greatest blessings God has given the Church today is assurance.

Not uncertainty.

Not fear.

Not “I hope I make it.”

But security.

Paul writes plainly:

 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”

 — Ephesians 1:13

The moment you believed the gospel of Christ’s finished work (1 Cor. 15:3–4), God sealed you.

Not later.

Not gradually.

Not conditionally.

Instant. Permanent. Divine.

▪️A Grace Context — Not Law

This is not Israel under covenant.

This is not blessing by obedience (Deut. 28).

This is the dispensation of grace.

• We are not under law

• We are not enduring to enter a kingdom

• We are in Christ, already blessed with all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3)

Grace gives, law demands.

Grace secures, law tests.

▪️What Does It Mean to Be “Sealed”?

In Paul’s world, a seal meant three things:

• Security — protected from tampering

• Ownership — it belongs to the sender

• Authority — only God can break it

▪️And what is the seal?

👉 The Holy Spirit Himself.

Not a feeling.

Not a ceremony.

A living Person indwelling you.

▪️When Did It Happen?

Paul gives the order clearly:

• You heard the word of truth

• You believed the gospel

• You were sealed

No baptism required.

No altar call needed.

No tongues involved.

Just faith in Christ.

▪️How Long Does the Seal Last?

 “Whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

 — Ephesians 4:30

Not until your next failure.

Not until you mess up.

👉 Until the redemption of your body (Rom. 8:23).

That means:

• Secure until the Rapture

• Secure despite your weakness

• Secure because God is faithful

▪️Can You Break the Seal?

No.

 “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” — Romans 11:29

 “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” — 2 Timothy 2:13

If salvation depended on you, it wouldn’t last a day.

But it depends on God.

To deny eternal security is to question His promise.

▪️But Doesn’t Sin Grieve the Spirit?

Yes — grieving is not unsealing.

Sin affects your walk, not your standing.

Your fellowship, not your sonship.

A loving Father corrects —

He does not disown.

▪️Your Secure Identity in Christ

Because you are sealed, you are:

• Accepted in the Beloved (Eph. 1:6)

• Seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6)

• Complete in Christ (Col. 2:10)

No believer today is half-saved.

No forgiveness is temporary.

The seal proves salvation is eternal.

▪️Assurance Produces Service

Grace is not a license to sin.

Grace is the power to live free from fear.

 “The grace of God that bringeth salvation… teaches us…” — Titus 2:11–12

We don’t serve to stay saved.

We serve because we are.

▪️Rejoice in the Security of the Seal

• God sealed you — and He never fails

• You didn’t earn it — and you can’t lose it

• What grace began, grace will finish (Phil. 1:6)

Don’t doubt God’s Word.

Don’t live in fear.

Rest. Rejoice. Serve boldly.

Saved. Sealed. Secure.

A Promise Spoken Before the Cross 

(Luke 1:31–33)

Before there was a manger…

Before there was a cross…

Before there was an empty tomb…

God spoke a promise.

“Thou shalt conceive… and bring forth a son…

the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David…

and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever.”

These words were not vague.

Not symbolic.

Not spiritualized.

They were literal promises—spoken to Israel, grounded in prophecy, pointing to a real King and a real Kingdom.

▪️What Was Promised Here?

Luke 1 is not mystery.

It is prophecy.

• A Son born to Israel

• A Throne promised to David

• A Kingdom over the house of Jacob

• A Reign with no end

This is Israel’s hope.

This is the kingdom promised by the prophets.

This is the fulfillment of God’s covenant with David (2 Samuel 7:12–16).

Jesus came according to prophecy.

▪️But Something Changed…

Israel rejected her King.

The cross intervened.

And God revealed something previously hidden.

Not in Luke.

Not in the prophets.

But through Paul.

“According to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.”

(Romans 16:25)

▪️What About Us Today?

We do not claim David’s throne.

We are not promised Israel’s kingdom.

We are not waiting for Christ to reign over Jacob.

Instead, we are:

• Members of the Body of Christ

• Blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places

• Seated with Christ far above all

(Ephesians 1:3; 2:6)

Different calling.

Different administration.

Same Savior—rightly divided.

▪️Why This Matters

If we confuse prophecy with mystery,

we confuse our hope.

Israel looks forward to Christ reigning on earth.

We look forward to being with Christ in glory.

Israel’s promise is a kingdom.

Our promise is union with Christ.

▪️Conclusion: A Devotional Truth to Hold

The same Jesus promised a throne in Luke 1

is the same Jesus who gives grace today.

He is:

• Israel’s coming King

• Our living Head

• The fulfillment of prophecy

• The revealer of the mystery

And one day, every promise—prophetic and mysterious—

will be perfectly fulfilled.

Until then…

Stand in grace.

Rejoice in truth.

And rightly divide the Word of God.

🔥 SCRIPTURE RULES — AND IT DOES NOT SUPPORT POST-TRIB 

The question of the Rapture is not about optimism, fear, or personal toughness.

It is about whether the Church belongs in God’s wrath or is delivered from it.

The Bible is not silent on this.

⚖️ THE FUNDAMENTAL ERROR OF POST-TRIB TEACHING

Post-trib theology places the Body of Christ inside the seals, trumpets, and bowls of Revelation — events Scripture repeatedly identifies as God’s wrath, not Satan’s persecution alone.

📖 “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

— Revelation 6:17 (KJV)

📖 “In them is filled up the wrath of God.”

— Revelation 15:1 (KJV)

Yet Paul gives the Church an unambiguous promise:

📖 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

— 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

This is not vague language.

This is not symbolic comfort.

This is a direct doctrinal statement.

If the Tribulation is God’s wrath — and Scripture says it is — then the Church cannot be present for it without contradicting Paul.

🧭 WRATH IS NOT THE CHURCH’S PURPOSE

Post-trib teachers often say, “The Church must be purified through the Tribulation.”

But Scripture never says the Church is purified by wrath.

📖 “Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it… that he might present it to himself a glorious church.”

— Ephesians 5:25–27 (KJV)

The Church is purified by Christ’s finished work, not future judgment.

Wrath is judicial.

Purification is redemptive.

The Bible never confuses the two.

📌 THE CONFUSION THAT SUSTAINS POST-TRIB

Post-trib teaching survives only by merging two separate events the Bible keeps distinct.

🕊️ The Rapture

Meeting the Lord in the air

📖 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

⚔️ The Return

Christ coming to the earth in judgment

📖 Revelation 19:11–16

At the Rapture:

• believers meet Him in the air

• no judgment on the world

• no wrath poured out

At the Return:

• Christ descends to earth

• nations are judged

• wrath is executed

Same Jesus.

Different direction.

Different purpose.

Blending these events does not strengthen doctrine — it destroys clarity.

📜 THE PROPHETIC STRUCTURE POST-TRIB IGNORES

The Church is clearly present in Revelation chapters 1–3.

From chapter 6 onward, the narrative shifts back to Israel and the nations.

📖 Daniel 9:24 (KJV) — God’s program with Israel

📖 Revelation 4–18 — judgments on the world

The absence of the Church is not accidental.

It is structural.

God finishes His dealings with the Church before resuming His dealings with Israel.

🛑 TO THOSE WHO MOCK THE PRE-TRIB RAPTURE

Mockery is not new.

📖 “There shall come in the last days scoffers…”

— 2 Peter 3:3 (KJV)

Hope is not escapism.

Expectation is not cowardice.

The early Church lived looking up, not bracing for wrath.

📖 “Looking for that blessed hope…”

— Titus 2:13 (KJV)

Wrath was never called the Church’s hope.

Christ is.

✝️ THIS IS WHY THE GOSPEL MATTERS MOST

Prophecy debates won’t save you.

Surviving the Tribulation won’t save you.

Knowing timelines won’t save you.

Only the gospel saves.

📖 “Christ died for our sins… was buried… and rose again the third day.”

When you get saved, you receive eternal life now, not fear of coming wrath.

1️⃣ WHAT A PRIEST IS - BIBLICALLY DEFINED

A priest, according to Scripture, is a man who:

Stands between God and men

Offers sacrifices for sins

Ministers in an earthly sanctuary

Functions under a covenant law

Represents a people under that covenant

📖Hebrews 5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

📌 A priesthood cannot exist unless ALL of the following exist:

The Law

A covenant

A sanctuary

Sacrifices

A people under that covenant

Today:

👉 No Law → No covenant → No sacrifices → No priesthood

📖Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

📖Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God

2️⃣ ISRAEL HAD PRIESTS - THE BODY OF CHRIST DOES NOT

🔹 Israel’s Program (Prophecy)

👉Aaronic priesthood

👉Earthly tabernacle / temple

👉Continual animal sacrifices

👉Conditional forgiveness

National covenant

📖Exodus 28:1 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office…

Israel required priests because Israel lived under the Law - Those priests were also physically circumcised 

👉The Body of Christ (Mystery)

🔹No tribe

🔹No temple

🔹No altar

🔹No sacrifices

🔹No covenant law

🔹No priesthood

📖Romans 6:14 For ye are not under the law, but under grace.

📌 Grace does not function through priests.

Grace functions through completed redemption in the Lord Jesus Christ.

3️⃣ CHRIST IS NOT PRESENTED AS OUR HIGH PRIEST BY PAUL

This is a critical dividing line.

🔴 Paul never calls Christ our High Priest

🔴 Paul never teaches a priesthood for the Body of Christ

🔴 Paul never uses temple or altar language for us

Why?

Because priesthood belongs to Israel’s covenant system, not the mystery revealed to Paul.

4️⃣ THE LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD IS DONE IN THIS DISPENSATION

The Levitical priesthood depended entirely on the Mosaic Law.

📖Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise…?

The Law has ended as a governing system.

📖Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

📌 End of Law = End of Levitical priesthood

5️⃣ WHAT ABOUT THE MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD?

This is where confusion is greatest.

🔹 Melchizedek is NOT a current priesthood system

Melchizedek:

🔹Appears once in Genesis 14

🔹Appears once in Psalm 110

🔹Is explained in Hebrews for Israel’s benefit

📖Hebrews 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Hebrews teaches that:

🔹Christ replaces Aaron

🔹For Israel

🔹Under a New Covenant

🔹With a future kingdom

📌 Hebrews does not teach: Hebrews is written to Hebrews, there are no Hebrews in the Body of Christ

Modern Christianity invents:

🔹“Covering” doctrines

The Lord Jesus Christ warned:

📌 This is religion, not grace, tradition, not truth.

9️⃣ WHY BELIEVING YOU NEED A PRIEST IS DANGEROUS

If you believe you need:

A priest

A pastor-priest

A confessor

A spiritual covering

Then you:

Deny direct access to God

Mix Law with Grace

Place yourself under men

Undermine reconciliation and the finished work and mediator ship of Christ

📖Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

👉 Direct access. No system. No priest.

🔟 THE DISPENSATION OF GRACE - STATED CLEARLY

In this dispensation, Christ is not presented as our High Priest.

That office belongs to Israel’s covenant program.

For the Body of Christ, Paul presents Christ as Head, Mediator, and Saviour - with no priesthood whatsoever.

🔚 SUMMARY

✔️ There are no priests today

✔️ There is no Levitical priesthood

✔️ There is no Melchizedek priesthood operating today

✔️ The Body of Christ is not a royal priesthood

✔️ Christ’s High Priest role belongs to Israel’s future

✔️ Paul teaches direct reconciliation, not mediation through men but through Christ alone

Those in the Body of Christ are Ambassadors of Christ

The Blessed Hope of the Church

The Blessed Hope of the Church

One of the greatest comforts God has given the Church is this truth: our future is not wrath, but rescue.

The Bible does not teach that the Church will endure God’s coming judgment on the world. Instead, it teaches a blessed hope — a promised moment when Christ will call His Church home.

📖 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This is not escapism.

This is assurance.

⛅ THE CATCHING AWAY OF THE CHURCH

Before the Day of the Lord breaks upon the earth, Scripture reveals a moment of divine intervention — the Rapture.

📖 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…”

This event is:

sudden ⚡

joyful ✨

comforting 💛

It is Christ coming for His Bride, not coming in judgment upon the world.

📖 “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

— 1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)

🔔 WHY THIS TRUTH MATTERS TODAY

Knowing Christ could come at any moment should not produce fear — it should produce watchfulness, holiness, and hope.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

This hope reminds us:

this world is not our home

our labor in the Lord is not in vain

Christ keeps His promises

Jesus Christ:

HELL IS REAL — AND FALSE TEACHING ABOUT IT IS DANGEROUS

A Biblical Study (KJV) on Eternal Judgment and Marking Error

♦️ 1. Why this study is necessary -

There is a growing teaching that…

 • Hell is not real

 • Judgment is only corrective

 • All people will eventually be reconciled

 • “Every knee bowing” means universal salvation

While this may sound loving, it directly contradicts the plain teaching of Scripture and undermines…

 • the gospel,

 • the cross,

 • the urgency of faith,

 • and the warnings given by Jesus and Paul.

♦️ 2. Jesus clearly taught a real, eternal judgment - 

Jesus spoke of judgment more than anyone else in Scripture.

Matthew 25:46 (KJV)

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

Key point…

 • The same word is used for punishment and life

 • If punishment is temporary, then life must also be temporary

 • You cannot redefine one without destroying the other

Jesus did not present judgment as symbolic, temporary, or corrective — but final.

♦️ 3. “Every knee shall bow” does NOT mean everyone is saved.

Those who teach universal reconciliation often appeal to…

Philippians 2:10–11 (KJV)

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…”

But confession is not salvation. Confession does not equal redemption.

Scripture already tells us…

James 2:19 (KJV)

“…the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Acknowledging Christ’s lordship is unavoidable — redemption is not automatic.

Even the condemned will acknowledge the truth — too late.

♦️ 4. Paul affirms eternal judgment, not universal restoration.

Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, teaches everlasting consequences…

2 Thessalonians 1:8–9 (KJV)

“…who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord…”

Destruction from His presence is not reconciliation.

It is separation.

Paul never taught that all will be saved.

He taught that salvation is by grace through faith, not inevitability.

♦️ 5. Redefining “eternal” destroys the gospel itself.

If “everlasting” or “eternal” does not mean eternal, then…

 • God is not eternal

 • Salvation is not eternal

 • Redemption is not eternal

 • Our hope has an expiration date

Paul says otherwise…

Romans 16:26 (KJV)

“…the everlasting God…”

Hebrews 9:12 (KJV)

“…having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

If eternal punishment is denied, eternal life collapses with it.

♦️ 6. False teaching about Hell removes urgency from the gospel. If…

 • everyone is eventually saved,

 • judgment is only corrective,

 • and refusal has no real consequence,

Then…

 • repentance is optional,

 • faith is unnecessary,

 • and the cross is reduced to a formality.

Paul warned about this exact danger:

2 Timothy 4:3–4 (KJV)

“…they will not endure sound doctrine… and shall be turned unto fables.”

♦️ 7. We are commanded to MARK and AVOID false teachers!!

This is not unloving.

It is obedience.

Romans 16:17 (KJV)

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

Teaching that…

 • Hell is not real

 • Judgment is temporary

 • All are ultimately saved

is contrary to the doctrine taught by Jesus and Paul.

Unity is never built on denying truth.

♦️ 8. God’s victory does NOT require universal salvation

God is victorious because…

 • sin is judged,

 • righteousness is upheld,

 • truth is established,

 • and Christ reigns as Lord.

A judge is not unjust for sentencing the guilty.

A king is not defeated because rebels are punished.

A Savior is not cruel for honoring human refusal.

♦️ 9. Summary

 • Hell is real

 • Judgment is eternal

 • Salvation is by grace through faith

 • Confession does not equal reconciliation

 • False teaching must be marked and avoided

Galatians 1:8 (KJV)
